The namesake of the ROHL Jörger Collection, Bernhard Jörger, acted as master plumber to the court of the Grand Duke Friedrich II of Baden during the early 20th century. His eye for fine design and high quality craftwork landed him the job of maintaining the baths of the most luxurious castles and palaces in the region. An especially lavish palace, the Schloss Mannheim, a large, Baroque-style palace, housed the Grand Duke himself.
